Introduction to ASPEN-tech configuration software

Aspen Technology Co., Ltd., headquartered in the United States, is a software and service provider for the process industry. Its main product is the Aspen Engineering Suite large-scale general-purpose simulation system. The most widely used today is its AspenONE software. Aspen Suite is a large-scale general-purpose process simulation system for production plant design, steady-state simulation and optimization. Aspen Plus is a large general-purpose process simulation system that originated from a battle organized by the US Department of Energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the late seventies to develop new third-generation process simulation software. The project is called "Advanced System for Process Engineering" (ASPEN), and more than ten versions in 1981, it became a world-recognized standard large-scale process simulation software with millions of application cases.
