Introduction to Schneider Citect Configuration Software

The Citect configuration software originally belonged to the Australian Citect Company founded in 1973 (now acquired by Schneider Electric, but operated independently), and its operation mode is more for programmers than industrial control users. Citect provides a scripting language similar to C language for secondary development, but unlike iFix, Citect's scripting language is not object-oriented, but similar to C language, which undoubtedly increases the difficulty for users to conduct secondary development. Citect software is divided into three parts: project browser, project editor and graphic editor. The project browser mainly completes the backup and restoration of project files, and the establishment and deletion of new projects. It can also be used to open the other two editors. You can also import external database files into the project or export the database files inside the project to generate other database files.
